News about Jeannine Walston after her Third Awake Brain Surgery

My sister, Jeannine Walston, had her third awake brain surgery this week on Tuesday by Linda Liau, MD, PhD at UCLA. I am thrilled to tell you that Jeannine is doing extremely well!

Dr. Liau successfully removed a large percentage of Jeannine’s brain tumor during an 8 hour surgery. Jeannine was then in the ICU unit for almost 24 hours and from there moved into her own room for further recovery. She is still at UCLA and probably discharged in one or two days.

Jeannine now spends her time at UCLA mostly resting as her brain recovers from a rigorous surgery. I’ve seen this experience before for Jeannine, and this time she knows more about how to relax.

I’m so proud of my sister to get through these challenging times. I know that she is very brave.

Through the process, I always ask myself how to help Jeannine. A critical aspect relates to costs of cancer bills. My goal is to reduce and hopefully eliminate the financial stress of Jeannine’s medical costs. To learn more, I ask that you visit Help Jeannine Pay for Cancer Bills for information.

Jeannine wants me to tell everyone that she loves them. She is grateful to be alive and feels more intensity right now with pain and glory. Her healing journey continues to be a learning and growing experience where she can transform challenges into opportunities. As she recovers post-surgery and with new insights, I know she will share more with you once she returns home. You can visit her blogs to get more information.
