Find Important Help from a Brain Tumor Survivor with Whole Person Approaches

By Jeannine Walston  |   Jan - 14 - 2013  |

I am so excited to welcome you to my new website! JeannineWalston.com has been born to share information and inspiration about whole person health and healing with my services further advancing my purpose in this lifetime.

For those of you who know me, and new friends that I am currently meeting, welcome to a mecca to hang out, learn, evolve, and advance your optimal health and healing. I’m on this journey too. For my new pals, I’ll give you a quick snapshot about who I am and why I do this. In 1998 at age 24 , I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Since then, I’ve used hundreds of cancer treatments, including two awake brain surgeries plus many integrative cancer therapies.

When I was told I had a brain tumor, I worked in the U.S. Congress and heading to law school. But, in my world turned upside down, my route guided me to the cancer community. My professional work since then includes with the National Cancer Institute, Food and Drug Administration, National Institutes of Health National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine’s Clearinghouse, cancer non-profits, and health care practices. That step by step process led me deeper into myself and work in the world.

Life always continues with further evolution. I definitely know that cancer patients need more information to learn about where to go and what to do through their journey. Integrative cancer care is the answer. Cancer patients need to utilize an integrative cancer care plan, team, and self-care strategies. I know this from the inside out combined with what I’ve learned through a tremendous amount of cancer research in the process. While I’ve had some highs and lows, I know that every moment of every day in life allows the opportunity to learn and transform. As my scars heal, I had to transform my suffering into actions to help other people. My tears needed to melt into my voice. My fingers are part of my instruments; my arms expanded from my wings; and, my heart woven with my soul linked with spirit. In this new chapter of my life, I’m going to serve as a cancer coachwriting and consulting, and speaker.
